The terms "WH Now", "We", "Us", "Our" shall mean Optimizing Resources Private Limited, an entity having its registered office at Warehouse Now, No 164, 9th Cross, HAL 1st Stage Hoysala Nagar, Binnamangala, Indiranagar Bangalore, Bangalore, Karnataka-560038, India and its affiliates.

1. Guidelines:

  1. a) WH Now believes in building a diverse, inclusive and equitable workplace. 
  1. b) WH Now shall ensure that no applicant or employee is discriminated against on the grounds of his/her disability and transgender persons in regard to any position for which the applicant or employee meets the inherent requirements of the position and is able to perform.

 

 2. Accessible Workplace supports: 

  1. a) Reasonable Accommodations are facilitated, where required, to improve accessibility and create an inclusive work environment so as to maximize the ability of an employee to perform the job. Accessible infrastructure at WH Now includes ramps in buildings, pathways, accessible common areas, mobility support, where required – golf carts, manual and motorized wheelchairs, comfortable workstations, screen readers and other supporting assistive devices, as needed. (Reasonable accommodation means necessary and appropriate modification and adjustments, without imposing a disproportionate or undue burden in a particular case on the company, to ensure to persons with disabilities the enjoyment or exercise of rights equally with others in the offices of WH Now). 

 

  1. b) Information essential to the job and workplace, such as job instructions, employee handbook, information on support facility, intranet, grievance procedures or health and safety procedures are communicated to employees with disabilities and transgender persons in a format which ensures that they are fully informed.

 

  1. c) Employees with disabilities and transgender persons are assisted to identify their prospective next assignment/available opportunity.

 

  1. d) Condition of the applicant’s and employee's disability is considered in determining the location of work. 




  1. Learning and Awareness 

 

  1. a) Training opportunities are made available to employees through self-reading documents etc., which employees can access from their desks.

 

  1. b) Alternate formats such as the use of readers or adapted materials are facilitated, where required, for employees with disabilities.

 

  1. c) Training handbooks and materials are made accessible to persons with communication impairments and partial visual impairments, including alternative formats for printed materials and use of visual illustrations, in place of text when the need arises.



  1. Extra Leave

An employee's request for extra leave, for a reason related to her/his disability, will be treated as authorized unpaid absence from work.



  1. Grievance Handling:

  1. b) WH Now will not retaliate nor discriminate against any employee or applicant because he or she has opposed any unlawful employment practice or filed a charge of employment discrimination, testified, assisted, or participated in any manner in an investigation, proceeding, or hearing related to employment practices.



Transgender Persons (Protection Of Rights) Policy

This policy is being issued pursuant to Rule 12 (2) of the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Rules, 2020 (as amended from time to time).

Policy Statement

At WH Now, we are committed to providing a safe working environment and to ensuring that no transgender person is discriminated against in any manner, including in relation to employment, recruitment, employment benefits, promotion and other related aspects.

Our decisions on employment, career progression, training or any other benefits are solely based on merit. Any information shared by employees on their gender and/or sexual orientation would remain confidential.

Definition and Scope

As defined in the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019, a "transgender person" means a person whose gender does not match with the gender assigned to that person at birth and includes trans-man or trans-woman (whether or not such person has undergone sex reassignment surgery or hormone therapy or laser therapy or such other therapy), person with intersex variations, genderqueer and person having such socio-cultural identities.”

This policy shall cover job applicants, full-time/part-time employees, interns/trainees, contractual employees, including temporary employees. This policy also applies to all aspects of employment, be it recruitment, training, working conditions, salaries, transfers, employee benefits and career advancement.

  1. Facilities and amenities

WH Now aims to provide all necessary infrastructure to its employees to create a conducive workplace. Any employee facing issues should report to the facilities team at their location or write to the Complaint Officer.

  1. Recruitment Process

At WH Now , hiring is purely based on merit and the candidates are evaluated based upon their skills and competence. Applicants can contact our Human Resources team or the Complaint Officer for specific assistance with respect to suitable positions in compliance with applicable regulations.

Wherever possible, all vacancies will be advertised internally and externally.

All candidates undergo a fair and transparent selection

Selection criteria (job description and employee specification) will be kept under constant review to ensure that it is non-discriminatory and that it relates purely to the skills needed for the position

Grievance Redressal

WH Now has appointed Tarun Saraf (support@WH Now.in) from the Human Resources Team, as Complaint Officer who will be responsible for providing the requisite support needed to realize the goals of an inclusive workplace and address the grievance of all transgender persons.

The Complaint Officer shall enquire into the complaints in accordance with the provisions of applicable law.

The head of the establishment shall take action on the enquiry report submitted by the Complaint Officer in accordance with the provisions of applicable law.

The head of the establishment shall take action forthwith in all cases where action has not been taken in accordance with the above time limits.

All employees are encouraged to report any incidents of violation of this policy in writing to the Complaint Officer.
